Applications are open for the 2024 Digital Health Networks Awards, the only awards that focus on recognising and celebrating the best local NHS digital health leaders across the UK. 

Open to members of Digital Health Networks, the 7,000 strong community of digital leaders working across all parts of the health service, the 2024 awards will be chosen by the elected leaders of Digital Health Networks.

Jon Hoeksma, CEO of Digital Health, said: “The Digital Health Networks awards return for 2024 and will recognise the best current and future digital health leaders across the NHS. Chosen by an expert judging panel of NHS digital leaders elected by their peers they provide a unique accolade in the sector.”

The categories for this year’s awards are:

  • Chief Clinical Information Officer of the Year
  • Chief Information Officer of the Year
  • Chief Nursing Information Officer of the Year
  • Rising Star Award
  • Outstanding Team (new for 2024)

Entries for the Digital Health Networks Awards can be made by an individual or team nominating themselves or a colleague/colleagues here.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be a member of the Digital Health Networks.
  • Be a CCIO, CIO, CNIO, future digital leader or a team currently working in or using technology in your daily work within digital health and social care.
  • Work for the NHS, public sector, non-for-profit or third sector providers, in charitable sectors, or as an academic or researcher.
  • Demonstrate how the nominee meets the category criteria using evidence to support reasons.

All nominations will be carefully examined by an expert panel of judges:

  • Dr Alec Price-Forbes, Consultant Rheumatologist and Clinical Lead for Rheumatology, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, (Clinical Chair, ICS Digital Council)
  • Hayley Grafton, CNIO, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, (Vice Chair CNIO AP)

Entries are open for the chance to gain recognition by the 7,000-strong peer network, press coverage in Digital Health News and win a free place Summer Schools 2024 at Durham University.

The awards ceremony will take place as part of the final session of Day One of Summer Schools, Thursday 18 July 2024, Durham University.

The deadline for entries is Friday 17 May at 12pm.
