A sub module is needed to help the Hospital schedule House Keeping activities and follow up on incurred cost and progress of work.

 
The following has been extracted from a recent RFP. I've included it here for your reference. It may prove useful for anyone preparing such a document.

House Keeping and Laundry

Description
A sub module is needed to help the Hospital schedule House Keeping activities and follow up on incurred cost and progress of work


>>> General
 
1   Provide facility to schedule and track house keeping and laundry
2   Account for Laundry inventory and sub-inventories
3   Interface with Inpatient modules for scheduling various housekeeping tasks

>>> Bed Status Notification
 
4   Facility to provide online notification of all transfers and discharges to enable housekeeping to prepare the bed
5   Ability to print daily report listing pending discharges to facilitate planning of bed preparation

>>> Scheduling
 
6   Ability to prepare weekly reports listing all non-daily tasks to be performed
7   Ability to schedule human resources
8   Ability to schedule tasks ( ex: waxing procedure )
9   Handle emergencies and ad hoc requests

>>> Laundry Handling
 
10   Support medical staff gowns handling
11   Support distribution of linen
12   Account for use , misuse and loss of Laundry

>>> Cost Control Reporting
 
13   Ability to use standard developed for housekeeping tasks to report on performance of the staff in its daily work
14   Ability to post statistical information collected to Ledger
15   Ability to cost allocate housekeeping services

>>> Inventory Control
 
16   Through interface of materials management system, devise cost center report to identify equipment inventory
17   Supply utilization report to be provided :- Weekly
18   Supply utilization report to be provided :- Monthly

19   Status of room , bed and linen
20   Staff schedule by allocated space
21   Staff scheduled by tasks

>>> Reports
 
22   Cost Allocation reports
23   Monthly loss report
24   Cleaning schedule report by service area
