Who needs CME?
CME is continuing medical education. CME is required in most states for re-licensing of physicians as well as for maintenance of certification by most specialty boards and for professional appointments in hospitals and other institutions. Each CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM). The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians may receive 0.25 or .50 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for each CME video that you complete, depending on the video.
