• There is a powerful and fast coding tool for the diagnoses that you can personalize with any database like ICD10, ... Search the code by key words. Search the definition of the code... Load any other database than the default ICD10 in English. There is an option to put on the automatic prescription the list of diagnoses codes.
• The menu for regional settings let you set the date format (D/M/Y or M/D/Y) or the units (centimeters/kilograms or inch/pound) of your country.
• An important feature is the ability to go on with both systems, the pencil one and the PDA one, without disturbing the usual habits of your medical department. So the transition to the computers can be done smoothly and everyone can choice its method.
• There is a graphic tool that displays the evolution of each laboratory exam or patient's parameter. So you can have for example the curve of the leucocytes evolution. The power of this tool is the ability to extract automatically any labs result written on the "Problems" page. Even the labs inserted by non structured doctors will be recognized by the computer, extracted, converted to the right unit, inserted in a table and then be populated on a graphic. Finally another great feature of this tool it the automatic analyze of the "Objective" report on the "Problem" page. So the computer extracts important reports like the temperature, the weight, the pulse, the blood pressure and inserts this information in the table ready to be populated on the graph. So you can get the temperature curve evolution, ... For neonatology or pediatrics, the weight, height and cranial perimeter evolution are drawn on a graphic with the percentile curves.
• A quick notes tool let you write quickly any information about your patients in a special window. Then you can dispatch this information later at its right place and in a very fast way.
• There is a special tool that helps you to summaries each problem of the patient. So the last hospitalization day, your patient can leave the hospital with the out letter in its hands ready for the practitioner.
• The software manages hospitalized patients or ambulatory patients. This is one of the most revolutionary concepts of this software. An ambulatory meeting is considered as a one day hospitalization. So you can get at any meeting, the information about the previous meetings or hospitalization. Its use is simple and powerful.
• A same patient can have several files. For example, one ambulatory file for cardiology. Another ambulatory file for nephrology. Finally several hospitalizations at different dates in an internal medicine department. When selecting a file, its specified form is automatically selected. So the environment of the software changes depending of the selected file. Any file can get information of the other files to be sure that there is a good transmission of information between all specialties. So the cardiologist will see while the ambulatory meeting the labs result of the last nephrology meeting.

• The PocketPC version of Handy patients can share patients' files with the DesktopPC version. So each ActiveSync synchronization, all patients' files of the DesktopPC version will be synchronized with PocketPC version.
• You can move the whole main folder of Handy patients DesktopPC edition to any location. It's even possible to move this folder in an USB key or an external memory card. So you can hold in your pocket the software Handy patients and all your patients' files stored in an USB key. For example, you can store on a 500 Mb USB key a minimum of 10'000 patients' files. Then you can start the software and consult your patients' files on any DesktopPC and anywhere.
